Exhaust goodies in Houston -- would anyone like them?
 

Boxsters and Boxsterettes,

For my 2001 Box, in an effort to liberate some exhaust music, I recently
ordered up some items from a forum sponsor, Vertex Automotive.

Allow me a quick plug for Vertex at this point. They are excellent folks
to deal with and I am sure I will buy more stuff from them.

Anyway, I ordered a Schnell muffler and a set of headers. All arrived when
promised and in great shape.

I fitted the muffler and after auditioning it have decided that it doesn't
make the engine sound like I want it to. It's not bad, mind you, it's just
not what I wanted.

I warmed the car briefly (doesn't take long here in Houston) and drove it
about five miles.

So it has about 15 minutes of run time on it.

And I was very careful not to scratch anything.

And, although the headers look absolutely top notch, I think I will just
leave the factory ones in place.

So before I send these back, I thought I would offer them to anyone out
there in Boxsterland who would want a good deal on them. What I get
out of it is only lower (or no) return shipping costs.

The muffler cost me $679 and the headers $779.

So there you go.

No sales tax -- no shipping if you pick them up in Houston.
