Cruise Control

Just bought 2003 Boxster S. Can I add the trip computer, cruise control or heated seats to the car at a later date? Can anyone suggest dealers who do that type of work in Long Island?
Drove to Jones Beach today with the top down what a blast.

Living in NY as well, I can tell you that I can only put my top down this time of year thatnks to my heated seats! They work wonders. :)

if the center console displays the outside temperature your computer is on and i think you can add a couple of switches to scrolling thru the options. the heated seat relay is wired into the fuse box on #6 regardless. i use it to power a subwoofer. if your seats have coils or something under the seats already i would assuming you could just wire it up, maybe stryke can let you know what the heater element looks like. cruise i'm sure can be added. if the dealer added all those in i'd guess you'd probably fork out at least 5k assumming that you don't need new seats. heck a front headlight cover is like 450. good luck

I have done the trip computer retrofit on 2 2003 cars.

There is a way to retrofit cruise control on an egas car.

I would like to do both retrofits at the same time but need a car in the San Jose area.

I also have a 03 box s less cruise, heat, and computer(I put the money where it counts). IMO, cruise is not a heavily used option unless you use your car as a daily driver or it's used for alot of long trips. I think cruise takes the fun out of driving a bit. If I used the car for those instances, I would definately want cruise though. It will cost you considerably more in the long run to add those options on after the fact, as opposed to buying a car equipped with the options from the factory. Unless it really bothers you, I would save your money.
