Wiper failure

My drivers side wiper stopped wiping. We had a flash freeze and I turned on the wipers and one stuck. Now the right side works but not the left. Before I tear it open what might I expect ?

I'd figure the linkage popped off the joint for the left arm.

+1 on the linkage, or or the spline holding the wiper blade. There is a plastic cap at the base of the wiper blade that pops off with a bolt under it. If the bolt is loose, the spline could slip and the arm won't move. Either one shouldn't be a big deal.

Mine on my 06 had same issue. The aluminum spline was stripped on the arm.The post is metal.
So I brushed on some liquid aluminum on the post spline and arm spline and remounted let dry over night. Its been 2 years now and still holding, worked great.Or u could just purchase a new arm.

look up the screen name "Itsnotanova" in the parts for sale section. Woody sells parts at very reasonable prices.
