CEL/Codes Help

My CEL came on and I scanned to find codes P1313, P1316 and P1319. Cleared CEL and it came on about 100 miles later with the same codes. As a bit of background which doesn't seem to be related but you never know, I just did the water pump. The car also seems to be running fine and I felt nothing different before, during or after the light came on.

Thanks.

If you google the codes that is what I got
P1313 Misfire, Cylinder 1, Emission Relevant

P1314 Misfire, Cylinder 2, Emission Relevant

P1316 Misfire, Cylinder 4, Emission Relevant

P1318 Misfire, Cylinder 6, Emission Relevant

P1319 Misfire, Emission Relevant

Most likely causes:

- Fouled, faulty or incorrect

- Contact resistance

- Loose contacts

Have you changed the spark plugs recently?

Correct spark plugs?

You should check the continuity of the flywheel sensor.

Check for cracked ignition coils

Thanks Frank. I got the car about three years ago. The previous owner said he just changed the plugs but who knows. I haven't changed them.

It seems strange that both cylinders are misfiring at the same time all of a sudden. You would think one might go at a time.

With these cars you can expect all kinds of strange things I guess.

This is what was really meant:

Most likely causes:

- Fouled, faulty or incorrect SPARK PLUGS (REPLACE SPARK PLUGS)

- Contact resistance IN THE COIL PACK (REPLACE COIL PACKS)

- Loose contacts BETWEEN THE SPARK PLUG AND THE COIL PACK (RE-SEAT THE COIL PACKS)
