Porsche Key Transmitter

Hello all ! Had my house robbed yesterday and the crooks took the only key I had to the car. Does anyone know if I can have a used key/transmitter reprogrammed or do I have to buy new ? Thanks all for your help !

Do you have the tag that comes with the key? You would need to know the number of the transponder pill. I am not sure you can specify/order an exact transponder number. I am afraid you will need to have the car flat bedded to a dealer. Or a very high end indy shop with a PWIS system. A dealer will be able to help with your VIN number, but you will probably need to show proof of ownership in person.

I had to go through a dealer for a 2nd key. It was $206.42 after my PCA 10% discount.

The car is programmed to accept the key, not the other way around. You will need to have the car flatbedded to dealer, buy new keys and have them reprogram the car.

When you have the new key programmed for your car, I believe they can delete the code for the old one. The crooks will be able to get into the car, but they will not be able to start it.

Yes the old code can be deleted. This means the crooks will still be able to open the door using the key in the lock of the driver's door, but they will not be able to start the car even though the key will turn the ignition switch.
