Bumper damage :(
Went to a county park, had fun with up hill driving, finally arrived the parking lot. When I park the car, the bumper hit a wood trunk in the shaded area, I immediately backed off, but the bumper is already damaged :(
What will be the best way to fix it? Let insurance cover it, or let Porsche dealer take care of it (new boxster, 1000 miles.)? Or find a cheaper body shop to bend the bumper back to shape? How much will Porsche dealer charge me (will they simply replace it with a new bumper?)? Thanks! |
hopefully w/ some heat a good body shop should be able to salvage that bumper.

An upscale body shop should be able to straighten that out. I don't think it's to the extent where you have to replace the whole bumper.

thanks for the info!
Can anyone suggest a good body shop close to Sunnyvale, CA? |
I am really unfamiliar with the west coast, however if you are close to Phoenix I would definately consider going there. I was rear ended six months (lots of cosmetic damage no structural) and I took it to the Phoenix shop that the P dealer recommended. Incredible work! I actually took it to an independent dealer to see if there was any diminished value and the dealer couldn't tell a thing. He almost didn't believe it was in an accident. The only difference was I put an S muffler on the back. Definately research the auto body shops and ask them what kind of cars they work on. My car was parked between a Bentley GT and a Modena 360.
