Do you ever

Do you ever write a reply to a thread, but when you are done with it you decide not to post it because: it wasnt politically correct, or if you gave your opinion about a certain mod you are gonna offend like 10 people whos screen names you know, or becuase your post was long and boring, etc.

Sometimes its still theraputic to write it even if you dont post it.

should i post this?

Of course! I think all the regular posters on this forum compose, recompose, edit, then trash it. That's what makes this forum the best on the internet.

BTW, we have one more Boxster owner in Houston. I met him yesterday and we compared cars and I acquainted him with all the crap that breaks or leaks or needs replacing well before it should wear out. He works for my landlord about 200 feet from my office. We all really need to get together for a beer and show each other our cars!

Anyone with a Boxster is welcome, boy or girl!

Travis, the twisty road just north of the little town of San Felipe off I-10 is flat out amazing. It's just one exit on the Houston side of Sealy. I will drive it any time you want to go, as long as you can get there at daybreak. It's too busy with tractors and cyclists after 10 am on weekends.

Randall,

Sounds like a plan!

I will be in Cancun next week but would be up for it any weekend after.

So is this the road?

Travis, that's the road. 1458 is the twisty road and if you look right there at the river, you'll see 3318 and that's a short little road I use to get the boxster up to 130 or so as it's a dead end and no one drives it at dawn.

The key is to get out to this road at 6 am or so just as the sun is coming up. That makes it not so much fun of a day, but we go into Sealy and eat breakfast around 9:30 after burning 3/4 tank of gas and that's fun, so it's all worth it I guess.

Let's plan one for third or fourth Sunday in July. We'll be done in time for a late church service, which you'll need for confession, I assure you.

I have no problem with girls either. The only thing cooler than a girl is a girl in a porsche.

Hey guys, we cant speed. I've gotten 2 tickets this month. I've lawyered up, so they will probably be dismissed. Still, I can't get any more.

Ok boys and girls, we need to get you over here for the Dragon's Tail. Got to drive it a couple of weeks ago and all I can say is WOW!! Of course all I heard from the guy riding with me was "holy crap!", etc. LOL

Here she is.

It's two HARD days of driving to get to the dragon from Houston, my friend. What we're talking about is a much shorter version of it that's just 30 minutes from our homes and for some forum members who have to drive the speed limit because they've been caught being naughty, 45 minutes away.

I am planning a road trip there in April however, with a buddy who has a MR2 Spyder with a Supra engine in it. I think we should put together a forum meet there in April and get as many members to come as possible. What fun!

RandallNeighbour,

Can you hear the Valentine with the top down or do you rely on the visuals ? Thought about trading in my Escort Solo S2 ( can't hear it ).

Also, I would totally be in for a forum meet at the tail in April. Only 650 miles from Chicago !

The V1 is nice and loud with the top down. Now with the top down and the CD player blaring, I rely on the arrows, numbers, etc. but that would be the case with any detector I think.

On our trip to northern California last year, I was driving top down with the wife asleep next to me and the detector went off and just about made her jump out of the seat as it caught her by surprise.

I know.... great idea.....we should all meet up in the UK!!!!!

* Your speeding tickets will never get through
* Driving on the other side of the road makes it more exciting
* The weather is rubbish (trash!!)
* Could do the whole country in a day
* You could make all the English people excited by calling them 'dude'!
* Its close to my house!!!

Yep your right, should not have posted this one!!

Will, great to have you aboard the Boxster forum and the Boxster fold of owners!

Yup, you just gotta order a manual for your car and read it thoroughly. It has all kinds of goodies in it!
