Header question!

I have a 2001 with a 2.7 l. I am looking for headers that will not set off a check engine light. Cats are not necessary, just don't want any lights on the dash! Thanks for the input!

He does that and he will fail inspection in PA.

i made the jump to not street car but with no cats, he will need some foolers and the 02 sensors.

Has anyone used the Fabspeed headers without the cats? Looks like they have a bung for the o2 sensors. Will these throw a code?

A search will certainly turn up some info. I recall woody; itsnotanova on here just did something like this and initially had problems but got it sorted.

There are a couple of solutions available.
1. Headers with a low count cat in them. then just reinstall the sensor.
2. Straight headers and low count mid-pipe with 200 count cats. Extend the wires and install the the sensor on the mid- pipes, one on either side of the cats. ( I've done this)
3. Straight headers and mid-pipes. Separate the sensors one set in the header. one set in the mid pipes. I believe with this one I've heard that you can install a deep well extension fitting.
