Move A Hardtop California To Virginia

Is anyone moving from Northern California (Stockton/Sacramento) to Virginia this summer?

I found a hardtop for sale in Calfornia that I would like to bring to Virginia. (I'd be willing to meet you anywhere in Virginia to retrieve it.)

As an alternative, does anyone know a good shipper in the Stockton area who would pack and ship the hardtop for a reasonable price? I need to minimize the inconvenience to the seller.

I "Googled" logistics in the Stockton area, but none of the companies listed were interested in my business.

Thanks

Let me tell you one thing about Stockton...everything there is stolen or broken. Have you called the "owner" to discuss the condition its in? I would try to have a short conversation with the owner to ensure it is his or hers,Stockton isn't a place you would find any Porsches besides 944s.

Hardtop

I don't know what you plan to spend but I have just ordered a Zeintop for my 986.. waiting for it to arrive. I saw one in Switzerland in Feb and fell in love. I nearly sold my Boxster S for a Cayman S but with this roof I don't need the coupe anymore!

ctboxster, how were you able to order the Zeintop ? I did not know it was available for purchase yet ? Do they have a US distributor ? Also, do you know if you need to remove the rear trunk before you attach the top ?

Thanks !
