Plastic Piece In Front of Rear Wheel
I have a 2000 non-S. I drove over some debris yesterday and cut the driver's side rear tire. The flat tire or debris also damaged the plastic piece in front of the tire. I've attached a picture of the undamaged piece on the passenger's side.
Does anyone know what this part is called? How much should it cost, and where is the best place to buy it? How easy is it to replace? Thanks in advance for your help. |
Price-wise, $10 to $20. Try Sunset Porsche

I always thought that part is called the splash guard.

The Piece is called Trim - Satin Black PN# 986.504.393.00C (Lft.) 01C(Rt) It lists at Auto Atlanta at $25.00. It is actually an assembly of both the Urethane larger piece and the rubber lip PN# 986.504.893.00 list - $7. The 1st part number will get you the entire assembly w/ lip. All you need to change it is a philips screwdriver and a 10mm socket/wrench. It over/underlaps several adjoining pieces including the Wheel well liner and the undercarriage tray. So study the existing one carefully before removing it. You'll need to remove the wheel well liner w/ the 10mm wrench and swing it out of the way, then loosen the 3 philips screws, swap the piece (again paying attention to the over/underlaps) then tighten everything back up. No need to raise the car or remove the road wheel. Takes less than 10 min. Hope this helps... Happy Motoring!... Jim'99 |
I think the part you want is the wheel arch trim.
