Wheel size question

I have found some nice OEM turbo twists for sale need advice if the will fit my 01 Boxter S

They came from 06 911 Carrera 4s

Front wheel 8" wide with 235/40R18 95V XL M+S.
Rear wheel 11" wide with 295/35R18 99V M+S

Please advise

Others may comment but I believe the 11' rear is to wide.

It might be hard to find a tire to fit that rim.

JimmyC - I was going to ask you to put a $1 in the tip jar since this is a common question but I tried to do a search and didn't come up with much of a hit on 'turbo twist'. The answer is no, they don't have the proper offset. Offset is a term you'll need to become familiar with if you're planning to change the wheel size on your car. Your current wheels have a number on each side of the valve stem. One is the wheel width and the 2nd is the offset. You'll need your current #s so you can figure out how the new wheels will work on your car. Get the width & offset of the new wheels and plug all the info into the calculator here:

Then when you know how much further in and out the new wheels will be, go measure your car for obstructions. Chances are an 11" wheel will bump into the shock on the inside AND the fender on the outside.

I read up on this before so just going off memory but the 911s have a bit different offset and 11" is too wide for the rear. The turbo 911 is even different yet. I'm running 8x18 fronts with 235s and at full turn you cannot even get half a finger width in the gap to the inner fender. Rears I believe you can go up to 10.5 but with like a 275 tire max. Just going off memory so recheck all this. Check the offset and post that up so people who have something similar can tell you if they made it work. Size is one thing but offset is equally important. If they are factory wheels the offset is right on them. I'm using newer Cayman wheels

I find this calculator to give even more info.

On a funny note I was just fixing the curb rash on my wheels while the car is stored for the winter here in Michigan. It's too cold in the garage so nothing would cure in there properly. I had to bring them in. Luckily the wife had a long day at work and I was able to clean up and air the house out before she got home so I don't have to sleep in the doghouse tonight.

This is a good time of the year to get a good deal. These wheels came off a 2012 Cayman ( from pictures that is what it looks like to me) and they came with brand new sumitomo tires all for $400 (the tires would cost more than that), I picked them up just over a month ago and got them cheap because of a little curb rash and a scuff on one of the spokes which a little filler and paint will take care of. Gives me something to do when I am not working on my kit car

11in rear wheels isn't too wide. Any wider without flares is. I'm rolling 11s with no issues beyond minor rolling of the fenders. With 285/45/19 tires.

what offset with the 11"?
