Ebrake issue
I pulled up a bit hard on the ebrake handle tonight and for some reason couldn't get it to release. When I pulled off the bit off molding to see what was up, |I noticed that a pin/sleeve had slid out about a centimeter causing the whole unit to shift so that I cant release it. No it's not that I need to pull harder and then press to get it to release. The button actually slides in and stays in because it's out of position.
Is there a way to disconnect or loosen it from within the car so I don't have to pull the wheels? It's raining very hard at the moment. Thanks in advance for your help. I tried to pull the sleeve/race/pin..whatever it's called out the rest of the way but only managed to chew it up. It's pretty soft. |
the answer is yes you can
under the little cubby behind the ebrake is the adjustment bolt. loosened off all the way I was able to get it to release then pound the race/pin etc back into place what a PITA but I stayed dry thanks all |
