Hi,

They work. That said, it will help with amateur thieves, but the Pros can defeat it, so the benefits are far less than they're marketed to be.

I would only get it if your Ins. Co. will give you a significant discount because in the event it ever is stolen, it's a sure bet that it'll be stripped or have the p*ss beat out of it long before the Cops can intervene...

Happy Motoring!... Jim'99

$750 at point of sale for Mobile Guardian at Pioneer. Same thing as LoJack, but you can see the car's location by logging into a website. Pretty cool, eh?

NO.

IMO, a wasted of money. If someone stole my car and mucked about with it, frankly, I wouldn't want it back, I'd just get something else. But then again, I turn cars over frequently, and don't plow money into mods and such.

A better purchase, in my mind, was the Gap insurance, which I also purchased at POS that pays the difference between what you owe on the car and insurance reimbursement, assuming you financed it.

I completely agree. In order to steal a car with an alarm there's a pretty good chance something is going to get messed up in doing so. Gap insurance is KEY!
