Ho2S heater short to ground

Hello

Bought a OBD2 scanner and downloaded the torque app for android

Got a P117 error

Was directed to Volkswagon Powertrain Manufacturer Controlled DTC
Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S)heater short to ground
Bank 1 Sensor 2

I checked the vacuum and it was steady between 18.6 and 20.6 when I revved it.

Can anyone tell me if this is actually an O2 sensor or a vacuum leak?

Also what side would this be on?

I found all 4 O2 Sensors on my 2001 Boxster

1 is on the manifold 1 is located along exhaust pipe

Thanks

Mike

P0117 Engine Temperature Sensor - Below Lower Limit

This is for the engine coolant temp sensor, not the O2 sensors. And not a vacuum leak.

Either the sensor is faulty or the wiring.

The coolant temperature sensor is located on the driver's side of the engine near the cylinder head.

Looking through the codes, do you think that you may have got a P1117 and had a typo in your original post?

If it is indeed P1117, then this link might help: https://sites.google.com/site/mikefocke2/oxygensensors

Some owners will swap the right and left sensors to see if the problem follows the same sensor...
