Ho2S heater short to ground
Hello
Bought a OBD2 scanner and downloaded the torque app for android Got a P117 error Was directed to Volkswagon Powertrain Manufacturer Controlled DTC Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S)heater short to ground Bank 1 Sensor 2 I checked the vacuum and it was steady between 18.6 and 20.6 when I revved it. Can anyone tell me if this is actually an O2 sensor or a vacuum leak? Also what side would this be on? I found all 4 O2 Sensors on my 2001 Boxster 1 is on the manifold 1 is located along exhaust pipe Thanks Mike |
P0117 Engine Temperature Sensor - Below Lower Limit
This is for the engine coolant temp sensor, not the O2 sensors. And not a vacuum leak. Either the sensor is faulty or the wiring. The coolant temperature sensor is located on the driver's side of the engine near the cylinder head. http://i849.photobucket.com/albums/a...psulcaikdi.jpg |

Looking through the codes, do you think that you may have got a P1117 and had a typo in your original post?

Some owners will swap the right and left sensors to see if the problem follows the same sensor...
