Rear bumper mounts for mounting a bike rack

What do you guys think - good solution or a disaster waiting to happen? I've seen some people using these mounts for trailer hitches so I figure a bike should be okay.

Looks like the best mount for a bike I've seen. However made from steel the mount probably weighs more than the bike. Judging from the welds I don't think this is a mock up, but I'd like it a LOT better made from aluminum. In fact you could probably market that. And when you dismount the rack the bumperettes go back on and VOILA no sign it was there. NICE.

Looks like a great concept.
How about height adjustable bars?
...to lower the bike for less headwind and to assure, that the rear lights stay visible

The license plate should stay visible, too
...just to avoid discussions with the "Rennleitung"
