This sounds like a line from the TV show "LOST". The father Doctor said this to his son (also a doctor) Jack. Are you sure it's from a movie? I swear I just heard this line!

it sounds like an indiana jones line, but it's sticking out in my mind that its from a more recent movie 2000 + and more sci fi.

it's driving me crazy, though. i blew an hour or so one day searching the internet everyway i could trying to find it.
