ipod FM modulator/transmitter
Hi, this is my first post. just bought a 98. I'm trying to make my ipod to work using FM modulator/transmitter, but it seem that the cig lighter socket is so shallow that it doesn't have connection. have anyone was able to play the ipod thru FM modulator/transmitter? what adapter or kind of FM modulator/transmitter were you using? thanks all for the reply. just a couple pics of my 986 to share, nothing special. :)

I use Itrip for my Ipod nano http://i18.ebayimg.com/03/i/06/d8/52/d5_1_b.JPG It cost $50 in apple store, i suggest you get it on ebay for $31 including shipping :)
or you can buy Griffin iTrip Auto FM Transmitter and Auto Charger for iPod http://a248.e.akamai.net/7/248/2041/...457lla_125.jpg Again, its cheaper on ebay to buy it. |
SAMUR6I,
If you have a CDR-220 radio it is pretty easy to have a direct connection. Basically, you need to order 1 part from Becker for the CDR-220 and then a part from Monster Cable that plugs into the Ipod. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=5731&hl=ipod http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=4393&hl=ipod http://www.beckerautosound.com/soundadviceonline.html Here is another option : http://www.newertech.com/roadtrip I used this in my Jag ( and tried it in the Box ) and it works great ! Hope that helps... Thanks, Nick |
thanks for the info. I have CDR-210 in dash cd without cd changer. i'll go with Griffin Itrip or Roadtrip. does Griffin charger fit in the cig lighter? anybody have experienced with it? the reason i asked because i used a different ipod car charger and it didn't charged thru the shallow cig lighter. it charged in other cars.
