Pulling a dent.
So any suggestions on how to pull this dent on my rocker panel ?

Find a good paintless dent removal service. Even if they can't get in behind they may at least be able to get most of it out.
I just had a PDR guy pull a nasty dent out of a stainless steel refrigerator without removing the panel. I have to look really close to see where it was.

I was told that the steel in that part of the car is too thick to "pull"
I had the dent in mine (which also involved the mudflap) repaired at a local body shop for less than $400

I noticed that there was paint missing in the dent so pdr is not really appropriate. Figured I would DIY since it is on the bottom of the rocker and hardly visible unless you are lying down or if seen from a distance at a low angle. Hence the query.

You could get a dent puller (slide hammer with a screw on the end) which will require a lot of work to get it pulled out without stretching the steel or, a can of body filler and some sand paper then have it painted. If you choose the body filler, make sure you rough up the surface so the filler has something to stick to. Body filler isn't a bad thing, so give it some thought.

LEJ, this is what I am considering.
Santafe, yes, I was considering this and I like the look, but since I'm putting the car up for sale, it's not worth the expense at this point.

Using a sheet metal screw and slide hammer!! What are you a bunch of savages?? A PDR guy might be able to get in behind it and push it out. Other than that leave it.

heat it up with a heat gun, very hot but not as hot to damage/blister the paint then hit it with a can of compressed air upside down so is spraying cold liquid, or almost frozen water and it will straighten by itself, if it does not completely fix it, repeat. not done it myself but seen it done and it appears to work in some cases
