1st Post...please help with GT3 bumper fitment!

I have a 2003 Boxster S and am looking for a new front bumper/spoiler. I saw this post on ebay link and wondered if any members could tell me for certain if this will fit my car. I asked the seller and he basically said "probably". Does anyone know what these go for new from the dealer?

Also, I'd love to see other options if members have different bumpers installed!

Thanks,

David

Ask him to email you some pics of the inside of it from a distance and up close. Then post those pics and I can look in my bentley repair manual and maybe help you figure out if it will fit.

The dealer may be some help too... ask a body shop person if the part number will fit.

New at the dealer is outrageous. Probably at least the $1600 he's quoting in that ebay ad.

Thanks for the help...I have some pictures but can't upload them...do I need to post them to a host first? I'll do a search...

From what I can tell, the bumper appears to be the real deal.

Does anyone have experience removing/replacing the bumper? I know it wouldn't be a good idea with a new, unfinished bumper but this has been fitted previously and may be easier to install??

Thanks,

David

The bumper will fit fine...However if you want a sure bet contact Dayton at DPS Parts. I bought mine from him for 1500(lip and paint included). Check out my signature line if you would like to see what it looks like

for $960 painted and delivered that's a good deal.
I paid $950 unpainted (without shipping) and its still sitting in the corner waiting for paint. (I'm such a loser)

Aftermarket guys want about $800 for a fiberglass bumper which will crack or shatter easily upon impact. Which means no parking on the street around here.

here's a pic with the Super Cup lip spoiler and GT3 RS intakes cut out into the bumper. Nice silver hood crest too.

PerfectLap....How can you just look at it and not want it on your car already!

ha!

because it won't fit into the Boxster!
Now I only live down the block from a body shop maybe I'll carry it over there on foot. :D

but seriously I kept putting it off because I was trying to find a decent template to have the RS intakes cut out before painting it and well that never happened quickly. I have one now, sort of its an email in Hi Res. Not something you want to try yourself or trust just anybody to try. But I think it looks so much better. Hmm..

I was also shopping around for that Super Cup lip spoiler so that I could put it on before installing it, but can't seem to find a deal on one. $200
and I'm worried about running something over on the road that won't fit between the spoiler and and the ground. Think I'm going to have to nix the lip spoiler.

Is your car dropped at all? I have mine dropped 2" with a stock lip and in the slight cases there is something in the road that can’t be avoided I just go over it. Those lips can take a whole lot of abuse with no signs of wear (that entire sentence sounds wrong). The RS intakes would look awesome but I don’t think it’s worth the risk of screwing up the whole bumper. Just get that thing painted and on the car already!
