Oil leak, anyone know where this is comming from?

Ok, I pulled off my engine cover and noticed on the passanger side of the motor there is a puddle of oil. Its on the top of the motor like directly under the 1" hose. So if you would go straight down from there thats the puddle. Any ideas?

Definitely a failing Oil Separator($80-120). Replace the part ASAP before your car starts smoking like crazy...Search under Renntech Forum for a complete write up of the whole DIY oil separator replacement.

When you replace the separator, also replace the oil filler tube. When the separator starts to fail it pulls a strong vacuum on the filler tube. The tube flexes back and forth and eventually cracks causing a leak.

Thanks guys, I sent pics to Sunset Porsche and he said its just the filler tube but his explanation was I must be leaking oil when I add oil. I've never had to add oil is the thing. It makes sense now that you say when the seperator fails it pulls vacuum on the filler tube. That would explain the dark colored oil.
