Whistling Noise

I have a Whistling Noise coming from the passenger side of my 987. It starts around 40mph and I can't figure out what it is. It is obviously caused by the air flow and seems to be coming from the side view mirror or passenger seat.

Anyone else experience this and figure out how to stop it? It's driving me crazy.

I've noticed it coming from the split side mirror design...air seems to flow through the small passage there and create a whistling sound. Nothing really can be done I suppose...

I thought that might be the case, but it doesn't happen on the driver's side, so there must be a way to remedy it.

Maybe I'll try tweaking the passenger side mirror a bit and see if that does anything.

This happens on my 2000S also... very annoying and it doesn't have that split design. I must have missed this thread earlier as I didn't try sealing the gap the mirror has with the door but I did try covering the small hole at the bottom of the mirror and that did nothing.

Get a thin strip of 3M clear bra, should do the job as I stated in the previous post.

interesting solution regarding the Clearbra strip. And a bonus laugh out loud for Trogdor's screen name..."The Burnina-tor!!" :D
