Also be aware that just about everyone that change AOS's for a living have reported questionable units band new, right out of the box. We check the vacuum level on every one we install; if the vacuum ain't right, it comes back out again.

And whatever you do, do not buy aftermarket units, we have had zero luck with them and now only use the factory part.

Removing the pump wasn't that bad. It looks like it would be easier than replacing the AOS.

But......they can fail as shown in thread attached. They're not likely to wear out though.
