annoying small leak...

I have a very small oil leak from the valve cover on the 1-3 bank, and it is very annoying nonetheless because it makes a mess after a while.

Can someone recommend a seal type or something to apply on the seam between the valve cover and the head..?

Or the only solution is to remove the exhaust, lock the cams, remove the ignition coils, the cam cover, etc., and apply the proper sealant...?

Thank yo in advance for your comments.

If you can precisely locate the leak and it's in fact between the head and the cover, clean it really good and quickly apply rtv sealant over it...
It's the backyard method.

Sure it's none of the spark plug tube?

Thanks Ben,

No, my car does not have the tubes for the plugs

UPDATE:
Ben, just remember that I tried some kind of sealant already (cannot remember which one) but didn't work out, however I would like to give it a try again but not sure what to use..
