clutch strange for a mile or so

Took the car out today in the continuing sunshine we have at the moment , and for the first mile or so the clutch felt strange. It felt like the first few inches of depression of the peddle was only spring, then it felt normal the rest of the way in. The clutch appeared to operate normally, just felt like strange. It returned to normal after a short period of gear changes. are their any lubrication points on the clutch assy i could do. Thanks

No lube required, but there could be air in the system.
When was the hydraulic fluid last replaced? Have you checked the hydraulic brake reservoir where the clutch fluid is fed from?

Actually, there is a special lubricant (Optimoly Olista Longtime 3EP) used on the splines of the transmission input shaft, throw out fork pivot, and where the plunger from the slave contacts the clutch fork.
