Wheel Bearing Question?
Hello
One of my rear wheel bearings is gone. The guy at the mechanics said I had to buy a new one and that I also needed a piece to go with it. What is the correct name of the screw or bolt that he's referring to? Unfortunately I'm no longer in contact with him. http://i68.tinypic.com/29lcow3.jpg Cheers!! |
Maybe the axle nut? Off the top.of my head that is one piece that needs to replaced when changing a wheel bearing.

+1 on the axle nut. They are one time use and cheap ~$5.00. BUT if bearing was bad long long time... then could be the hub. Expensive ~$250.00.

Buy the bearing as a kit from Pelican and you'll get the bits you need. They have a diy article also.
