Springs por15

I just bought some used springs with supposedly 10k on them. They look like the mileage is missing a zero. Anyhow, can I por15 the rust spots that have broken through the red coating (h&r).

Yes, I've done it before, just make sure you get the flaky rust off the metal before you apply POR-15. It stays supple and shouldn't crack or peel off the springs.
