Anyone local to Gainesville Florida that can enable OBC with durametric?
 

I'm in Gainesville Florida, my dealer in Jax will not enable my OBC. I asked and was told NO.

Anyone on here live close and have the ability to do this? If not, does anyone know of a place that will that's near Gainesville and not in Orlando?

I can do it but it will use up one of the VINs on my Durametric. If you don't find anyone, I can do it. There is a guy on Rennlist that has a durametric pro 9no 3 vin limitation) that he rents out, you pay a deposit, use it, and get back your deposit, minus some fee I presume, when you return it. You just need a laptop with Windows and the free durametric software. I'll see if I can find the link.

I thought there was another one. For $200 you can probably find a used durametric enthusiast which you can use to enable the OBC and then keep it for other tasks, etc...

Have you checked with any independent Porsche shop (such as Technical Dimensions in Jax)?

Thanks Steved0x. I'm willing to buy the durametric but I've already had one bad ebay experience with this device. I'm looking again. As for other dealers in Jax, I don't really know of any. My car has been serviced by the same dealer since new. I purchased this car in March and last week I was able to find one of the dot-matrix 986.641.233.00 clusters. The new cluster should be here tomorrow and I was very surprised when I was told that my dealer will not enable the feature.

So again, if anyone close has the professional version of durametric and is willing to do this for me for a fee? I'm willing to pay. I'd give my dealer money as well but they just say nope.
