15s before alarm goes off
 

Good morning fellow Boxsters

Since I bought my Boxster the keys never worked to open or close the doors, The question I have is why is it every time I open my car with the key it only gives me like 15 seconds to put the key in the ignition or the alarm goes off, how do I stop that?

Just to clarify, when you said "never worked to open doors", do you mean via key remote or by using key in lock?

I meant the fob part never worked but actually key part did

Only way to stop it is to get a new key and have it programmed.

I've done the 15 sec thing for years, the switch is right by the door... no prob.
