Headlamp washer jets

Just had my 03S fail It's annual Ministry MOT test because one of the HID headlamp washer jets had gone missing, then I discovered that the jets were not available separately so I tried this little quick modification before the retest.
These little covering caps which cost pennies usually come in packs of two complete with self tapping screw and plastic washer for securing registration plates to car bumpers etc, I just discarded the screw & washer, drilled a small hole in the side of the black plastic domed cap and glued it in place ( gorilla glue ) over the hole left by the missing jet, it was a perfect fit, worked perfectly and it satisfied the examiner on the retest.

that's cool, I remember back in the day my camaro did not pass inspection because the parking brake (foot actuated) would not stay down, if you stepped on it and release it would spring back up, I took a piece of foam from the seat and jammed above the spring and it worked again and passed inspection and it never failed again, lol

That is cool. It actually looks better than the real thing.

Where did you find the screw and cap?

Paul,
These can be purchased in all car accessory stores & most gas stations over this side of the pond for securing registration plates to vehicles, they are available in black, white or yellow.
If you can't obtain any at home send me a P.M. and I will mail you some, as I said in my post they cost pennies.

Or you can buy this BMW part and put it in. I did it also.
