996 AOS in 986 Boxster

My understaning is that difference between 911/996 AOS and the one on Boxster is a coolant line. I wonder if anyone tried to use it on purpose on Boxster. I think extra cool is great for AOS operation. Why they dropped it on Boxster?

Typically a coolant line is used to heat the (PCV). It is done to prevent icing up in negative ambient temps. It is not necessary except in Alaska or Fargo, ND.

The use of coolant lines is to prevent icing of the AOS at low temps, which can be a problem with the 996, but not with the Boxster, which is why they did not use it.
