Anyone removed their side scoops to plasti dip them?
My side scoops have some chips and I thought plasti dipping them a satin black might look good on a seal grey car. I want to maintain the OEM parts but have something a little different. Anyone done this and can post pics?

I'm considering plastidip for the front intake louvers. I think black would look a lot better than the current mottled silver.

The wheels were £85.00 a corner, and the vents about £15.00 each.
very happy with the end result.

I Plastidiped the front grills - they came out good. I have a Seal Grey car so the black grills look good with the color.

Thanks for the examples. Went ahead and did it today. My scoops were a real PITA to get off but they finally broke free. Sprayed them with 10 coats of Carbon Black DupliColor car wrap. Came out very nice!

I use it hoping some of the Mazda reliability will rub-off! Seems to be working so far!

Boxpriest,
Follow this link to Wheeler-Dealers and go in about 17 min and watch then do it. I think there was another with an Benz SUV or Ranger Rover where the did carbon fiber on the inside trim.

That's water transfer, not plasti-dip.

Boxpriest,
One of the great values of the forum is I just realized you and maybe others have another option to look at. Isn’t Life Great! Glad I could be of help.
