South shore MA car/coffee July 24th

Scituate (MA) (scituate harbor)
Cole parkway between Front street and the water.
Lots of restaurants and places to get coffee.
Scenic area for a drive. Did one about ten years ago and got about 30 cars. I posted all over pelican and the eastern rennlist board so hopefully a decent turnout.

Maybe you should post in Autoshows section. There is also a group that meet in Taunton every other Sunday morning if you are interested at the Starbucks off RT 140.

Thanks Mike. I did not know that site existed. How many Porsches do they get?

mikesz 06-21-2016 05:12 AM

It depends 15-20? Its primarily Porsche guys but we are non-denominational and accept all cars. Many Ferrari, Lotus, Sometimes a Corvair, and one lone Citroen SM. Also, had a contingent of Labos a few times. Address is 81 Taunton Depot Dr Taunton, MA 02780. Usually the "Taunton Crew" starts congregating around 9:30 AM every other Sunday, weather permitting. There is a get together planned for this Sunday, 24th. FB "Taunton Crew". But a drive to scenic Scituate sounds like a nice idea! What time do the festivities begin?

Lucky guy to be in Scituate...
My wife was born there and we go back about once a month or so.
The Satuit is usually one of our favorite stops for fried clams :-)
We'll be down the beginning of July but wont be taking the
986 - not enough room :-)

Thanks Mike. 830 is the official time.

Yeah, I do feel lucky to live there. I fought my wife on moving there back in the 90's. She was right again. I'm not a sit on the beach guy but I do like variety of places to eat/drink in town including the satuit and the views.

8:30 it is planning on being there! Looking forward to meeting some new people!

That's 3. We are on our way. Well from the 986 board. See you there.

mikesz 06-27-2016 02:43 AM

Where were you guys?

DWBOX2000 06-27-2016 08:14 AM

This could turn out a bust or a ton of people. I scanned the other places I posted. Though no one replied, the view #'s were crazy.

It should be an easy sell. People come to Scituate in the summer whether there are Porsches there or not.

Yes it was a great ride! I have the tan to prove it! wound up driving down to Taunton after getting a coffee and doing some joy riding.

Good morning,
I noticed a lot of folks have viewed the post but not many have responded so no idea how many are coming. I drove down this morning and there were 20 or more open spots on the water next to the coffee shop. Cars are coming and going. Due to the location, the population increases by a 1/3 during the summer. Incase there are more cars that than that, grab a coffee and change your GPS to:

1000 Lighthouse Road.

It is about a mile down the road. It is the home of the Scituate Lighthouse and it overlooks the harbor. Actually a nicer view.
