Porsche Boxster 986 Roof Transmission Gearbox

Hello! I am looking to buy pair left and right of Porsche Boxster 986 Roof Transmission Gearbox with part numbers : 986-561-179-03, 986-561-180-03..anyone can help on that? does anyone have used for sale or suggest a website?

I just bought a set off Ebay. They are pretty readily available from wrecks and guys that rip out the tops on their race cars.

Thanks for the recommendation guys but I think he should cough up the money and buy one of those new reinforced gears. I think that shipping anything to Cyprus would be outrageously expensive. The 00-04 convertible transmissions are not that durable and that one gear is probably the only thing wrong with his. I'd imagine the shipping cost of a whole transmission vs a gear is quite a bit. So much so that that it's a smarter move buying the gear even though your total expense is more. If you buy a used transmission ($50 each from me), it's only a matter of time before the gear goes out on that one too.

Most guys who are getting rid of their transmissions race the 97-99 boxsters and they have a different style transmission than the 2000-04.

symptoms of roof tranmission gearbox

I have asked a second opinion of an automotive engineer and he instist that the problem has nothing to do with gearbox...could u advice?
