Some are quite surprising. The Saab 900, and just about any Jag of that era, just dont do it for me. Sacrilege I suppose, coming from a Boxster owner, but I must admit my vote for the nicest lines of that generation is the Lotus Esprit V8, give me a wedgy any time!

While they were all sold in the 90s, I don't really consider most of those actually to be 90s design...which kind of conflicts with the intent of the 'article'

C4 Corvette: Designed in the 80s
First gen Viper: Designed in the 80s
XJ220: Designed in the 80s
Honda NSX: Designed in the 80s
Lamborghini Diablo: Designed in the 80s
Lotus Esprit: Designed in the 70s
Mazda Miata: Designed in the 80s
Mercedes R129: Designed in the 80s

To be fair though when people think of the 80s they don't think of the first gen viper, they think of cars like the irocz camaro and etc.

The cars on the list are the cars that people saw new on the roads in the 90s and were in magazines over the decade.

I've always thought the gts coupe looked pretty nice but the early targa style ones with the 3 spoke wheels should be burned at the stake.
