Skinny Cupholder

04 Boxster S. I have a broken dash trim just above the climate control, very narrow piece of plastic. I was trying to pull the trim piece off and, whoa, a single cupholder popped out.I didn't even know it was there.

I have been searching for the trim piece and can't find where it is sold alone. I do see that I can buy the whole cupholder for $350.00 (YIKES).

Any suggestions?

Best

It should extend or telescope into two cup holders!

Leaving it closed and using the 'ultimate cup holders' is the best option but since the trim is broke it sounds like you're into the entire part.

Wow, you are right! Two magnificent cupholders mounted right above the cars electronics. Geez, I just want the trim piece.

I sure do love how she drives though.

Get that out of there and replace it with a cubby. A lot cheaper, more useful and with the money you save get yourself two ultimate cup holders and spend the rest on some good beer.

Not sure I can, It isn't the cupholder that is sized like the climate control or radio, it is a skinny little strip.

I have been looking at double din replacements but none of the trim pieces seem to eliminate the cupholder trim piece.

I have attached a picture of the part in question. The slim trim piece with a picture of cups above the Double Din stereo is the trim piece that I have.

A) Yours may have worn off, but the picture on the small piece of trim shows two cups...that was a hint that it was more than a trim piece.

B) In regards to the skinny cupholder replacement, I've had more than one replacement in the passenger seat complain that the Boxster does not come with a holy-****************-handle as pictured by thStone.

I had Ultimate cup holders from my BMW which the Porsche replaced, and hence, my Ultimate Cup holders now reside in my Boxster. I put both of them on the passenger side, as someone in another tread suggested.

Do you have a picture of what you have? If you still have the trim pieces, it'll be better to glue the pieces together. That piece is hard to find.
