Dongle behind air vent
1 Attachment(s)
Hi,
I was wondering what this dongle-thing is behind the right front air vent? Looks like an antenna of some sort? It's on a 2001 base. thx ~Alura |
outside air temp.
I do believe it is the outside air temp sender for the dash display....
I mainipulated mine back into the rubber grommet to point straight out. |
gotcha, that makes sense - thank you.
also, sorry for the huge size of the picture - will resize next time. |
It's the time sensor. For the clock.

"It's bigger on the inside!" (ok, not really) :) |
It's the NSA tracking device. Just in case you turn off your cell phone.

+986 also has special sensors wired directly to the IRS and TSA. |
We are not alone..........

Mine sets off a warning if I'm driving too slow.

Not many people call a radiator grille an air vent ... but in any event this is indeed the outside temperature sender. It's there whether you have the on-board computer activated or not.
