Head room 986 vs new 917 Boxster

I have a beautiful 02S that I love. At 6'1" and 245lbs it gets old climbing in and out of the car especially running errands and short trips, but once inside the car there is always enough leg and head(with the top up) room for me. I recently sat in a brand new 917 Boxster and couldn't believe how much harder it was to get in and out and the top off my head slightly rubbed against the top.........Has anyone else noticed this or am I just getting taller/bigger ?

917? You mean, 718?

Maybe the car got smaller?

The 917 is a rather small car.

Yep, the 917 was one of the fastest race cars ever built. 220+ MPH at Le Mans.

I'm pretty sure the 718 has the same headroom as the 981 Boxster.

In fact the top assembly on the 718 is the exact same as the 981. So the only reason it should be much smaller would be the way the seats are set in the car.

Also I heard that the 987 is bigger than the 986 on the inside. So I wouldn't expect any boxster to ever be smaller than the 986.
