S2000 to make a comeback??

Honda's 70th Anniversary Is The Latest Excuse To Spin Rumors About A New S2000

Honda released the S2000 in 1998 as part of a “celebration” of its 50th anniversary. Do the math and the automaker’s 70th anniversary is looming in 2018, which is apparently reason enough to validate the years of rumors of an S2000 successor.

Unless Honda make it big enough for 6 ft+ 200# Americans, it is just another version of Miata !

S2000 to make a comeback??

I think the world needs more driver's cars and more roadsters, so this would be a good thing. These are wonderful hi-Rev cars with great handling (sound familiar?). In fact, if they had more storage capacity, I might be driving one instead of the Box. I'm also 5'8" [emoji5]

I considered one while shopping for a roadster. But, lack of storage was a deal breaker. And I'm not a fan of high rev engines, especially as it would be my daily driver. Around town, that just gets old.

I also cross-shopped the S2000, great engine, shifts better than the 'Box, and great engine/service access. But with better cornering feedback and storage space, the Boxster won out for me also.

The high strung engine was never a benefit for me.
I like the (relative) low end torque (usability) of the boxster.

Let's see what they do next!

LOVE my 2002 SCed S2000, but I will believe this when I see it on the show room floor.

Nice car, but I'm a german car lover, I never liked japanese cars (even that I owned several because they are reliable and cheap to maintain) I drive an Altima almost everyday and had a few Hondas but no matter what they do they will never match the feel and spirit of a porsche
