Not a Boxster....but a question

A good ole High School friend asked me today about buying a 2008 Cayman with around 52K miles. He is buying it from a Volvo dealer who is getting it through Carmax. It scored very high and it is eligible for their buyback plan. It has a 2.7L engine, I told him to spring for a PPI from a Porsche dealer and it would be money well spent....but any input from you guys on the later model Caymans ?

Thanks in advance

Dwight

I suppose that any caveats that might apply to an 08 Boxster would also apply to a Cayman. Pretty well the same car.

If the PPI checks out, tell him to buy it and it will be one of the best cars he'll ever own.

So a private seller sold it to Cramax who made a profit selling to the Volvo dealer who will make a profit selling to your friend. Doesn't sound like a good deal to me, I'd look for months and buy from an original owner seller. Use autotempest.com to search multiple sources.
