Question Clutch Question

I have about 1200 miles on my 2006 Boxster S. It seems to me that the clutch grabs late but I haven't driven a manual in a while. I have to let my clutch about 1/2 way out before it starts to grab. Maybe a little less than half way. Is this normal?

Especially for a new clutch. The cables on clutches self-adjust, kind of like a break in period. They're usually grabby and the engagement point is high for a while.
