Location of 2 gear detent cover
 

Hi!

My first post here. Im want to change 2 gear detent on my 987 porsche boxster 2 2006.
I cant find it. Could someone point it out on this picture.

Other info says its on the passager side of the car so the pic shows that side.

I would have expected to see it on this side (I've done this job on my 986) but I don't see it! Is this your gearbox or is it out of another car? Lets see the other side!

My gearbox is in the car so this is pics from ebay. I have found pictures on the 986 and the 996 but this seams to be diffrent:confused:. Here is the other side.

No idea then. Sorry I can't help. 986 has it on passenger side, on top, middle...about where the tag is on your first photo.

The 987 gearbox will shurely have a detend for the 2nd gear. The question is if it's accessible from the outside. The 987 gear box has a complete different gear minik compared to the 986. Couldn't find infos about, sorry.

My geuss is one of these 6 "caps" I have markt with a red circle.
Is there 1 detent a gear ?
