Someone please explain the 986 drainage system

Someone please explain the 986 drainage system to me ? I washed the car today to test for leaks and there is water getting in the back of the car on both sides. There are drainage holes around that area but is water meant to get there ?

Yes when water gets under the soft top cover (clam shell) the two holes, one on either side should drain that water. Its not uncommon for leaf litter and dirt to plug them. They drain onto the inner fender liner. A little air can clear the blockage.

Good timing! Are the holes locations similar for the 987?
