That is disgusting on many levels. I will pray the couple recovers quickly.

The stoned numb-skull is already out of the hospital. I trust karma will catch up with her.

Just today at a red light. I watched a woman drive straight through a red light that was red a while and a city bus locked them up to not smash her. I saw her look back for an instant as she passed me to see the lights as horns sounded.

Unfortunately, this will be a nightmare for everyone involved. Hope that everyone heals up. Cars can be repaired or replaced but you hate to see that happen to such a nice car.

For quite some time I was looking at Speedster replicas. They usually go for $20k - $30k. Really nice cars, for a reasonable price. And every time I look at them I remind myself: no 3 point harness, no airbag, no neck support, no impact zones to speak off. Looking at the pictures of this horrible accident confirms that I did the right thing by not getting one.

That will be one massive insurance claim. The dope-smoker may never be able to afford insurance again. I hope.

The driver probably only has minimum liability insurance which is a joke and it will likely be on the owner of the Speedster insurance to pick up the tab for the car and medical.

People driving under the influence and/or distracted pisses me off with way too many people suffering the consequences of others actions. My wife's co-worker just lost his best friend of 20 years Easter morning due to a distracted driver. He left behind his wife and a 3 week old daughter.

There's an eerie similarity in the damage.
Apparently the owner is very well liked and respected on the Ferrarri forum. I hope he and his friend make it through okay.
Yeah, way, way too much leniency on DUI drivers in this so called justice system. There should only be one strike! Anyone that can't show any better judgement than that in the first place has no place behind the wheel, period. But that horrible chick will be out there again soon I'm sure, while the victim is still picking up the pieces.

That's not a Speedster, but a Spyder....

I've built a Speedster in 7 years time completely myself:

It is an unbelievable car to drive; I enjoy driving it more than my Boxster S...
