New to the Fourm

Hey guys and gals
I just sold my V8 914 and plain a Boxter LS7 build. I haven't the car as yet and am looking for the best car to start with. My 914 was a special car, it had Boxster / 996 suspension an Ls6 and a G-50. Once I got it running i began to think about a boxster and here I am. I just wanted a more refined version and with the 914 everything was decades old. I could have made it nice but it will never be a modern car.
I'm now doing all the research and making plains for the build up.
My old car

There are a ton of Boxsters for sale under 10k not many "S" models. My first choice would be a Caymen but they are mostly too expensive for my wallet. I am sure a take my time attitude (if I can) would be the best thing to do. I did see a 2006 Cayman for 16k but it was a salvage car but it went fast. The ad's still up but he said it was sold :ah: Salvage cars need to be inspected closely for sure because of the added weight, HP and torque using a LS7. I've learned from building 2 V8 914 cars, there's much more to do besides installing the conversion engine.
My other two builds by design left me to make a ton of the parts, now I just want to buy nice tested parts. I'm tired of looking at my ugly welds etc. :chicken:
Renegade makes conversion parts that take the guessing out of the big stuff. I used a Toyota Mr2 power steering pump on both my 914's and I'll do that myself. I still have 2 spare pumps laying around.
Anyone doing a LS swap here ?
