Air bag cover gap

1 Attachment(s)
I brought my car out of its hibernation and discovered the dash air bag cover had developed a gap over the winter. I was wondering if anyone here has encountered this type of problem and if anyone has a possible solution. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Remove the panel and duct from under the passenger dash to access the 2 airbag bolts. Remove them and the airbag slides forward and out. You may just need to loosen them and re-seat the airbag. If not, take it out and see what's going on.

It's probably a good idea to disconnect the battery first.

I've heard that it is also a good idea to wait for half an hour after disconnecting the battery before messing with the airbags.
