Question on 15000 miles services?

I am new here and I have an 2003 boxster. I was just wondering how much would it cost for a 15000 miles service? Thanks..

Varies WIDELY by dealer. Call a few and you will get a sense.

The first service is basically an oil change and filter PLUS some inspections.

My guess is $300 on average at a Porsche dealer.

I would say call that Porsche dealership on the Beltline and ask what exactly they perform as part of their 15000 mile service and what the approximate cost would run. The is the only Porsche Dealership I know of in that area.

I called the dealer on the beltline and they said $600 for the 15000 miles service. That is kind of expensive for 15000 miles, right? Has anyone gotten their service done at zimbrick european before? Thanks for the help.

That is very expensive for the 15K. Perhaps a good independent on this one?

I dont know of any independent mechanics that work on porsche around the Madison area. Does anyone know of any? Please help.

kinwchugn, you are in a bit of a tight spot since there are only 4 Porsche dealers in your State. If I recall correctly there is one in your home town of Madison (608-258-4000), Appleton (920-968-1212) and 2 in Milwaukee (866-858-6900 and 414-543-3000). I suggest calling those other dealers just to get a "feel" for pricing and then you can possibly negotiate a better price with your local dealer.

The other option to find an independent shop. I would suggest looking on your local PCA web site for a recent news letter, and possibly someone advertises there. If you are not a local PCA member, now might be a good time to join, so you can possibly find a good independent shop from some of the local PCA members.
