Clutch pedal squeeking when depressed

It's been doing it for awhile now and today it seems to have gotten worse to the point that it's annoying and I want to fix it. Is this a common issue with a known fix? Is it as simple as a worn bushing or does the clutch slave cylinder need to be replaced? Thanks.

I have the same issue (light squeak), curious as to the specifics as well.

I have the same issue as well. It didn't start squeaking until I changed the clutch booster spring that I bought on Ebay. I'd be very interested to see how any of you fixed it.

New clutch here. Has a very audible creek (creak?) when clutch is pushed in when it's warm. It can be felt in the pedal.

If the sound is coming from behind you it is common, and the fix is to use the 987 clutch lever, pivot ball, etc.

Consult Wayne's 101 book

If it's the pedal assembly then crawl in there with some teflon spray

If it is from the pedal area, it is likely the clutch booster spring.
I had a squeek for a while from mine and then it stopped when the spring broke.
Replaced the spring (thanks Woody) and all is good

In my case, the squeaking was a sign the spring was breaking.

Its a pretty easy DIY. Do a search here and on rennlist and there are a couple of threads on the spring

Thanks JayG. Mine definitely sounds like it's in the pedal area. I'll check it out.

Now I have two projects, this and the window regulator (the common issue with the window not dropping when you open the door).
