Indy 500
 

Any members from Ontario going ? Looking for a travel ticket pack or a lead and follow in our cars.

Not going this year, what with the exchange rate as it is currently.
I've been to three different tracks now, I found Indy a bit disappointing. Being such a long track, you don't get to see a lot of action. The pack goes by and you get to wait and wait some more until they go around the inside stands before you see anything again.
Bristol rocked wildly and Pocono was pretty decent.

The 500 also attracts a crowd that could care less about the actual racing on the track. It's kind of turned into a freak show between what happens in the coke lot the night before and in the snake pit on race day. This being a memorial year, I expect it to be even worse.

The first yr my brother and I went ('74), we went with a tour and our seats were in the short shute between 3 & 4. Not great viewing. We went on our own in '77 and had tickets in the middle of 3, so we could see the back straight all the way thru T4. We were happy to see AJ win #4.
