Can't Lock Doors
 

I recently purchased a '99 and the key will not lock the doors. The lock/unlock button inside the car works just fine, but the fob will not do anything nor will turning the key in the door. The light comes on on the remote.

Any suggestions?

That's a weird one.

It might be your door lock mechanism that's gone out. Tell me, when you lock your doors from the dash, does it actually lock both doors? You have to drop the top and roll down the windows and stand outside the car to try the door handles if you don't have a friend to help you.

If one of the doors isn't locking, that's the side where the mechanism needs replacement.

Yep, both doors actually lock.
