1. Porsche's worldwide success in motorsport started with their first car, the 356. For the very first model with chassis number 356.001 was only a few weeks old when, in July 1948, it scored its first class victory in the Innsbruck City Race.
2. Superman is the right answer, but this is a auto trivia so what about the picture of a black Porsche 911 catching air going over a hill on the wall in Jerry's apartment. 3. uuuhhhh..... don't have a clue |
#3. could it be the "lifetime employment" heritage that some Japanese mfrs have with their labor unions? i.e., their labor force is guaranteed a job regardless of market ups/downs and technology changes.
Sounds a lot like GMs "job bank" that has been partially responsible for their current problems, but the origin was a paternalistic attitude towards the employees rather that the easy way out in tough union negotiations. |
Hi Guys,
Sorry for the delay, it's been a heck of a week for me. Anyway, here are the answers to last week's Trivia Questions...
Now for this week’s questions:
|
1. Porsche model numbers usually refer to an engineering project number, so I'm going to say that. What year? I saw Gmund coupe #14 at a car show last weekend, and it was billed as a 1949, so how about, say 1948?
2. A 917 in 1970? 3. I thought there were several of them. The Kubelwagen, later resurrected as the VW Thing, and I think it was the Tiger tank, were both ol' Ferdie's work. |
3. what wwii car did porsche.... the Beetle!
|
2. 1970-917K
3. tanks |
